VARIUS VASCULAR LASER

The ideal diode laser system for vascular and dermatological applications, such as the treatment of fine vessels, angiomas, benign skin alterations, nevi, spider veins etc., as well as for cutaneous surgery: cutting, coagulation and vaporization.

Optimal wavelength & variable spot sizes
A wavelength of 980 nm and very high fluency allows maximum absorption of oxyhemoglobin and minimized competition with melanin in the epidermis, meaning that VARIUS™ vascular laser achieves excellent results in vascular and dermatological procedures.
Working with short and long pulses of variable duration from 5 ms up to 500 ms, and spot diameters of 0.7 mm, 1.3 mm and 2 mm, VARIUS™ facilitates the sealing of all vessels without bursts and avoids purpura. VARIUS™ produces flat-top spots, its advantage being that the energy is equally distributed over the entire spot surface and most efficiently applied, whereas a converged (Gaussian distribution) spot would concentrate most of the energy transferred to the central area.

Double Pulse System
Difficult cases can be treated with greater convenience as a result of the incorporated double pulse system. A short pause between pulses permits recuperation of the epidermis from the two laser pulses, and accumulation of heat in tissue is avoided.

To ensure maximum safety with minimum risk of lesions in the epidermis VARIUS™ vascular laser is combined with an active Contact Skin Cooling™ system that allows laser application during treatment. The skin is cooled down before, during and after the laser pulse, meaning that the patient suffers no pain or epidermal damage.

TELANGIECTASIA & LEG VEINS

Gentle INTERmedic vascular laser treatments of superficial vessels, spider veins and leg veins

Almost 60% of the population suffers from spider veins (telangiectasia), most commonly on face, hands, and legs. Small, unsightly hand or leg veins are also a frequent cause for patients to seek treatment.
Camouflage make-up or covering garments are common means of concealing problems such as these, but certainly do not provide a satisfactory solution. INTERmedic offers the most effective solution to a wide range of vascular irregularities such as spider veins, superficial telangiectasia, red and blue veins, telangiectatic matting etc.

How it works: Laser energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the blood. The temperature within the blood vessel subsequently rises considerably, causing the vessel to collapse - without purpura. The long wavelength of the diode laser passes readily through the skin without inducing dermal lesions. The INTERmedic diode laser vessel treatment is possible for any skin type. After only a few treatment sessions the unwanted blood vessels have disappeared almost completely   possible with VARIUS™ and the MULTIDIODE SLP™ laser platforms, while larger vessels can be treated effectively with VR1000™ and MULTIDIODE ENDO™ laser.
The patient will enjoy a much improved skin condition

Vascular Lesions:

INTERmedic's ABC of laser assisted vascular applications: from angioma to venous lake removal

Medical science distinguishes between different forms of angioma, of various origins. Some of them need treatment; others are harmless but impair the looks of the patient, especially on the face.
Safe and effective INTERmedic vascular laser treatment achieves very good results in cases of venous angioma, stellar papular angioma, small lip angioma, and flat, ruby or tuberous angioma.
INTERmedic vascular laser systems allow a variety of other vascular applications such as matting of reddened skin areas, and the treatment of couperosis, rosacea, venous lakes or red and blue vein blemishes. Depending on the type of lesions, INTERmedic also offers different solutions to treat benign vascular lesions.

AESTHETICS

INTERmedic's ABC of effective skin treatments: from bothriomycosis to warts removal

Disturbing skin alterations such as molluscum, verrucae (warts), seborrheic keratosis or pigmented lesions are not regarded as serious threats to health in most cases. Unfortunately, however, they are most likely to appear exactly where the patient least likes them - on the face.
Most of these somewhat unsightly skin disorders can be treated by surgical incision. A more effective, gentle and elegant method, however, is INTERmedic diode laser treatment. This safe method has the additional advantage of avoiding any lasting scars.
